Dancin'
Addie loves to sway to almost any music. One of her favorite toys right now is a music table that Paul's Aunt and Uncle got for her. Here she is dancing a little bit today!

More Pictures from Easter
It's really sad, but Addison has some pretty bad stranger anxiety. The day care teachers even told us that if new people come into the room, she starts to cry or fuss. So, if she doesn't spend most of her day with you then she will get dramatically fussy if you try to hold her. Unfortunately, that left us with no pictures of the grandparents holding her. I hope she gets over that pretty quick. Funny thing though... She is ok with Kelly holding her. LOL ...

Did the bunny come yet?
Here are some pictures from today. Addison was very interested in the laundry basket, so I put her inside. She is rocking on her knees and taking one knee forward to crawl this weekend. She is very close to crawling... but just plops down on her tummy. I bet she will be cruising around very soon!

Pickle Girl
Over Easter weekend, we discovered that Addison LOVES pickles! My parents came into town early and we went to lunch together. Addie really enjoys to grab things off the table so I handed her a pickle to distract her and also see how she'd react. She devoured the pickle and then cried dramatically when she dropped the floppy remains on the floor. So, we asked for a few more. Addison ended up eating 4 at the table and was covered in pickle juice and seeds. It made for a great photo opp. My mom got some great photos, and my sister got an awesome one on her phone.
Some wonderful news! My parents have decided to buy some land and a home about a 20 minute drive North of us. The house was one of the reasons that they came into town early on Easter weekend. They are very excited about it, and think the house will be built by October or maybe November. I feel so lucky that Paul's parents live close enough to drive in to visit often, Kelly and Cyndi live very close and now my parents will be moving near us as well.
For Easter, Paul's parents and my parents and Kelly and Tracy came over to the house. Mary and Phil stayed over the night before Easter and joined us at church the next morning. Then my parents came in from their cabin in Burnet and joined all of us for an Easter brunch. The whole day was lots of fun, and I can't believe how blessed we are to have such wonderful family. I wish I had taken more pictures. Unfortunately, I didn't have my camera out and each time I thought about it I became distracted. However, I did get some pictures of Addison in an Easter outfit my mom brought her. Thanks mom! It fit perfectly!

8 Month Update!
Addison is 8 months today, and I can't believe how fast the time has flown. It seemed like when she was first born time went by so slowly. I just wanted her to sleep through the night, and be able to actually interact and maybe smile. After she started day care and I went back to work, the time went by much faster than I ever imagined. Now she can't even fit in my lap without hanging over the rocking chair.
At 8 months Addison now weighs about 21 pounds (maybe close to 22... not sure) and is about 29 inches long. She is pretty much wearing 12 month clothes, but can still fit into the 9 month sleep and play jammies... barely. Addison is now at a new day care, and there is an "Allison" in the class so she goes by Addie at school, but we still call her Addison or Addie at home. We really don't stick to one name or the other and I like both. Right now, I'm debating if I should get her ears pierced or just wait until she's old enough to make that decision on her own and make it a girl outing. I think making it a girly outing and a "right of passage" sort of thing would be lots of fun.
Addison is now definitely sitting up on her own and leans forward with one leg to the side and rocks back and forth sometimes. She absolutely LOVES Shiner, our boxer, and tries to "crawl" or get to her when she is on the ground. I think this has helped her development (thanks Shiner). Ranger, our beagle, on the other hand runs as soon as she starts to reach for him. However, he is quickly learning that Addison can drop food from her highchair. Addison is eating 3 "meals" a day (1 4oz veggie or fruit per meal) and has between 4 or 5, 4 to 6oz bottles just depending on the day. Her favorite food is still sweet potatoes. We tried to give her the mixed meats and veggie baby food, but she's not a fan of it anymore. I can't blame her... it smells like cat food. Addie likes to roll over to her tummy now, but still has difficulty rolling back over to her back. I really think she would rather figure out how to sit back up by herself rather than roll on her back. I'm pretty sure that's why she gets so mad when she has been on her tummy for a long time. She is very good at moving around in a circle while on her tummy or sitting, but needs help to move forward. She has already had a couple of "face plants" while moving from sitting to a crawling position.
Recently, I feel like Addison and I are attached at the hip. She absolutely flips out when Paul or I leave the room and she's not intensily occupied by a toy. Sometimes I can be sitting right next to her and she still reaches for me and grabs to be held in my lap. She loves to be held and rocked, but I am really trying to have her learn that is not always an option! (It's hard because she is so cute) Addie's hair is a light brown and has grown a lot over the past month. There may be some blonde or a little red highlights, but I really think it will be brown just like her daddy! Anytime we take Addison out with both Paul and me, everyone thinks she looks just like Paul. I love that she has his eyes!
Addison's most favorite thing to do right now is click her tongue or experiment with sounds "Ba ba ba, da da da, ya ya ya, wa wa wa" are her favorites... she has said "Ma" a couple of times and it makes my heart melt even if she is totally doesn't know what she is saying. I sing to her all the time and say "Ma ma ma" instead of actually singing the words in hopes she will say Ma ma faster. She also will rock left and right when I sing "The Itsy Bitsy Spider" or "The Wheels on the Bus"... I think she really loves music. When she wakes up in the morning she sounds like she is trying to sing, and smiles very big and rocks back and forth "singing" when I get her out of the crib.
It's been a ride! I love it and can't wait to see how her personality grows.

Addison's New Toys
Paul's aunt, Terri, and her family Dave and Danny sent Addison some awesome new toys! She absolutely loves the blocks and wooden play station! She had a great time playing with them for a few hours today. Thanks so much for sending it all the way from California.
