Berry Sweet

Addison's new favorite food is blueberries! She ate so many today and
yesterday I think she may turn into one. She also loves scrambled eggs
and watermelon. I can't believe how much she eats sometimes. I guess
she has to when she crawls around so much!

Here's a picture of Addie at church today.

On a side note, Paul and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary on Friday! I can't believe how fast it's gone and it seems even faster since Addison has come along. I can't wait to see what the next 5, 10, 20... years bring us!

9 Month Check Up

Addie went to the doctor a few days ago for her 9 month check up. She is doing great! Still in the 95th percentile for height and weight. She was 22.5 pounds and 30 inches long. The doc said she seems to be doing "fantastic". He took her off of the Prevacid for the acid reflux (we just kinda stopped giving it to her, but he made it 'official'), and gave her the thumbs up for development.

She is crawling up a storm this week. One day this week she started crawling toward the dog bowls and was very curious about the food. I told her "no" and picked her up and put her back in the middle of the kitchen. She is too cute because she will shake her head "no" when I shake my head no and say "uh uh uh". Well, she kept crawling over to the dog bowl all sneaky like... crawling and then stopping and looking at me. I finally just put her in the living room and went to find some socks. By the time I got back she crawled from the living room into the kitchen and had one fist full of dog food in her mouth and another in her other hand! I picked her up and scooped out the dog food, while she shook her head no! Then shoved the other handful into her mouth! I think she likes dog food... should we be scared? It was too funny!

This is right before she got into the dog food... "what, I'm sooo innocent."

Growing Fast

Addison seems to have grown so fast over the past couple of weeks. She is now signing "Milk" when she wants to drink her bottle or water from a sippy cup. She also started to wave bye and hello sometimes. She is very good at telling you what she wants and shakes her head "NO" vigorously when she doesn't want to eat something. Addie is not a fan of baby food anymore. She's a solid finger food type of girl and started eating the regular school lunch cut into very small pieces at day care. Addie can also clap and she shakes her hands (which I think is the sign for 'All Done') when she has finished eating. Addison has also started standing up and loves to stand and "cruises" a little bit on our coffee table. I can't believe how much she has figured out in the last couple of weeks!

On the Move!

Addison is officially crawling. She has been rocking and taking one or two little "crawls" forward, but this weekend she has taken off! She loves to crawl to Shiner and her green ball block. It's already obvious that she is going to be a lot more work. No more plopping her down on the rug and leaving the room. She's also pulling up on things, and Paul found her standing in her crib this morning. It's crazy how strong she has become! Here are some pictures of her at 9 months now! And... video of her crawling.

Daddy's Home!

Keys and Bubbles!

Addison absolutely loves car keys. I made the mistake of letting her play with my keys in the grocery store once, and then when I tried to get them back from her to DRIVE... it was impossible. That baby is strong! It ended in screaming and me singing "The Itsy Bitsy Spider" to distract her, as we drove home from the store. Now, I just try to hide them when I have to have them out, or distract her while unlocking the door. Paul gave her his keys yesterday and the only way to get them back from her was distracting her with bubbles.

While Addie still loves her BFF, the ceiling fan, she is now obsessed with car keys and bubbles.
