Easter 2011
Addison helps dye eggs for the Easter Bunny to hide. She made more pink eggs than any other color!
On Easter morning, Addison loved hunting for eggs. She was so excited that we couldn't get some pants on her before she ran outside in her new rain boots!
After church, we headed over to my parents house for a very yummy lunch and more Easter Egg hunting.
Jack says, "Let me see those glasses, Gramps!"
I'm pretty sure that Addison had chocolate in the corners of her mouth all day Easter Sunday... here she is hunting for eggs at GG and Gramps' house.
After a long day of Easter egg hunts and chocolate, it finally comes to an end with the Easter Bunny held hostage.
Jack at Almost 8 Months
Jack went to the doctor recently for his check up and vaccinations. He weighed in at 23.6 pounds! He's a big guy, and now wears 12 month size clothes. He has just recently started sleeping until about 3:00 am more consistently. On a good night, he might sleep till 4 or 4:30 and then go back to sleep until 6:30 or 7:00. Jack is starting to make "buh buh buh" sounds and definitely knows when Paul or I leave the room. He is good at letting us know when he wants something or is upset, but is easily soothed and a BIG love bug. Jack is a cuddly guy and always wants to hold my fingers when I pick him up or when he eats his bottle. He is also very easy to get a giggle from, and will belly laugh if I kiss his cheeks or tummy.
Jack desperately wants to crawl. He is very good at rolling back and forth and pushes up on his feet so his butt is straight in the air. I think once he starts crawling he will be very interested in finding his toys and other interesting things and inspecting them. Jack likes to inspect everything, especially his toes and hands. After he is done inspecting his toys he will WHACK them on the table or floor and seems to enjoy the large sound it makes. His most favorite thing to do by far is be thrown up in the air (a little!) and caught. Jack is so fun!

Bonka!
Paul took Addie on a date to Petsmart and bought her a Beta fish. After one week of asking Addison the name of her fish, I think she felt pressured enough to make up a name, Bonka. This has begun the "Bonka" phase. She is now naming anything she is not sure what she should call, Bonka. This evening she pointed to a picture of a submarine and asked me what it was. When I told her she said, "Nope Mommy that not a sub-tra-mean, that's a .... Bonka.". She also likes the word "Nope" and uses it often.
Me - Addie that bouncer is for babies, not big girls like you!
Addie - Nope Mommy!! That's for me.
Me - Addison, stay out of the bouncer! You are a big girl, you'll get stuck. (I walk upstairs to put Jack down.)
Addie - ok Mommy!
One minute later....
Addie - "I stuck mommy! I stuck in the Bonka!"
