Thanksgiving

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with the family. Paul's parents, my parents, Kelly, Tracy, Cyndi and Trae all came over to eat Thanksgiving dinner with us. I feel so thankful that our family lives so close and we got to see everyone. We are also thankful that we get to see Paul's brother, David, and my brother, Nick and his wife, Jana very soon! I love the Holidays. The cherry on top of this Thanksgiving was the Texas win... that game made me nervous.

Over the last couple of weeks, Addison has started saying "Nana" (Paul's mom) and "GG" (my mom). She also said "Cyndi" well... "CiCi" for Aunt Cyndi over Thanksgiving! It has been really cool to see her attempt to talk more and more. My favorite word she says is "Please" because it sounds more like "Peas" and she squishes her face into a small smile and signs "please" by rubbing her chest. She is so much fun and I can't wait to see what she thinks of Christmas!

I didn't get very many pictures this Thanksgiving, but here are the few that I did snap.









Paul put up the Christmas tree this morning. Addison LOVED the ornaments. It's a good thing that they were just plastic. She wanted to pick them all up and carry them around. She became very frustrated when she saw one on the tree that wasn't in her hands. I got some video of her "helping" decorate the tree. By the end of the whole experience, Paul and I decided that we may not really have ornaments on the tree for awhile. At least until Addie can understand they are not toys.

Addison seems to be turning into a little girl more and more each day. It's really cool! ... and sad too. Bye bye baby stage, hello toddler stage!

She loves to sign and loves watching "Baby Signing Time." Paul and I started counting all the different signs she has done and it adds up to over 40! Here are the signs she knows:

Addison has not really said anything perfectly clear, except "Mama," "Dada," "Bubble," "Bye Buh," and sometimes "dog," but does try to say a few words. One time I heard "more" perfectly clear but haven't since then. I think she is somewhat understandable for most words, but I live with her.

Addison's best new trick is trying to burp on command. She burped once really big and we all started laughing. Ever since then, she grunts really loud to try and burp when she's eating. If you ask her "Can you burp?" she immediately tries and grunts. This was completely reinforced after my mom and dad (GG and Gramps) came to babysit her on Saturday. My mom thought it was hilarious and now Addie does too! (It made for a very funny weekend!)

Addie's favorite "things" and what she most loves to play with or look at are; BOOKS, animals, trucks, cars, airplanes, and really vehicle that moves! She will give her dolls a kiss on command, and carries around her Elmo doll. However, books, animals and vehicles are by far her favorites.
