Spring Break Vacation!

Paul, Addison, and I went to San Antonio last weekend to start off a Spring Break vacation. We had a great time visiting with Phil, Mary, and Jeanne. We decided to go to the zoo on Saturday and saw all sorts of animals. Addie loved it. Here are some pictures from the zoo.

Eating some lunch.

We saw pink flamingos and Addison was mesmerized by the birds and the water.

Addison loved the otters.

These are the hippos! Unfortunately, they never turned around... they were sleeping.

Phil tries to show Addison a butterfly at the butterfly exhibit. Addie was a little scared, but eventually warmed up to the butterflies. She still doesn't like to get close to anyone but mom and dad. However, her stranger anxiety has become a little better... she likes to say hello to anyone who will listen to her!

Grandma Jeanne shows Addison a butterfly on her elbow.

"Ooohhh I see one!"

On Sunday, Paul and I took Addison to Sea World and she LOVED it! We went to feed the dolphins first, but were so excited we forgot to get photos! Then we moved on to see the Shamu show "Believe." It was fun and Addie was wide eyed the entire time.

Watching Shamu builds up a mighty appetite. Addison devoured three huge pieces of watermelon.

Too cool for Sea World...

After lunch we headed over to the Balooga/Dolphin show called "Azul" it was really cool!

The last stop was the aquarium and Addie waved to the fish.

On Monday, Paul headed back to the house and I drove to Corpus Christi with another friend of mine, Julie. We took two of her kids and Addie to see the Texas State Aquarium. Unfortunately, I didn't get very many pictures. Addie was a handful she really liked playing with Julie's twins, Michael and Vivenne (who were a year older). She ran to every tank and site that she could see. A week later, Addie still asks to see Michael. Every morning this week she says "Michael?" when she gets up and I change her diaper. She also asks for Michael when we drive in the car. I will try to upload a video of them playing soon.

We stayed in Corpus one night and then drove back to San Antonio on Tuesday. We decided to take the train around the San Antonio zoo and eat some great barbeque before heading back home. It was a great trip and Addison seemed to really like all the action and animals!
