I had a quick doctor's appointment today. The baby is doing great, she was moving a lot while the doc attempted to get her heartbeat. Her heartbeat measured 135, and everything else is going great. I can feel her move a lot during the day and can even see my belly move a little when she is really rambunctious. Paul still has a difficult time feeling her with his hand on my tummy, but I'm sure that will change soon. I am almost 24 weeks and my next appointment is on May 22nd. At the appointment, I will be taking a glucose test (which is typical for any pregnancy) to test if I have gestational diabetes. After the next appointment, I will see the doctor every two weeks. I can't believe this experience has gone so quickly! We will be parents very soon... OMG!
On Saturday, I woke up to the worst leg cramp I've ever experienced! I screamed and cried so loud that I probably scared Paul out of a deep sleep. I'm not sure why they call these leg cramps "Charlie Horses" ... that name is much too nice for the experience. I've been eating more bananas, drinking lots of water, and taking more calcium, and I haven't had another cramp since. Hopefully, it won't happen again!
We've jumped on the baby blog bandwagon, join us on our adventures in parenthood!
