Catch Up Post!
I've been a bit behind. Nothing too exciting has happened since the last update, Jack has started full on crawling (really started a couple of days ago!) and Addison amazes me with her vocabulary and creativity every day. Addie started dance class and we have LOTS of pictures and video of her. I must say... I know I'm a bit biased... but she is a genius dancer. She caught on right away and absolutely loved her first dance class. Addison talked about her "tap class" for a full week.
Trip to London
Paul went to London on business during the first part of June. Thanks to Kelly and Tracy, I was able to join Paul in London for a vacation shortly after he finished his work! I LOVE my family. Especially since while both Paul and I were gone Jack caught Hand Foot and Mouth and Addison was pretty cranky with both parents gone.
We had a wonderful time discovering London and spending quality time together! The first day that I arrived in London, Paul had an awesome plan for us. I was very impressed with his map skills and navigation of the "Tube." We took the Underground to the London Eye and had an amazing view of London from the tallest Ferris Wheel in London.
Then we took the Tube over to the Queen's garden and open air Theater to see "Lord of the Flies." It was great!! I had just gotten off an eight hour plane trip and was jet lagged, but was extremely entertained and really enjoyed the play! Here is a picture of the set.

After a very good nights sleep... with no waking to feed any babies... awesome... Paul and I headed out for a walking tour of the changing of the guards and Westminster Abby. We couldn't take pictures inside Westminster, but outside was beautiful. The guide on our walking tour was great! He had lots of "inside" information about old London and the tour was one of my favorite parts of the trip. We didn't get the classic picture with the guards, but I guess we will just have to go back to London to get it!

After a quick lunch, Paul and I hopped a Double Decker bus for a city tour.

There were lots of street performers... this guy was my favorite!

On the way home we saw some mice in the Tube... However, I was actually pretty impressed with how clean the Underground was! There are NO trash cans in the Tube and outside of a few newspapers I rarely saw trash and it didn't smell. Much different from the subway system in New York. Really... these mice are like ants compared to rats I would imagine to see in New York.
The next day, we headed over to the British Museum in the morning, had lunch with some of Paul's friends from Product Camp, and then headed over to the London Tower. Unfortunately, by the time we arrived at the London Tower it was too late to tour it. So we decided to go the next day.
This is an exhibit showing all of the medication an average person takes during their lifetime... I thought it was really interesting!
There was a replica of the Rosetta Stone near the REAL one... there was such a crowd around the real stone we just got pictures of the replica you could touch.

On our last day in London, Paul and I made our way to Camden Market which was a few blocks from our hotel. This market is HUGE... and it has everything you can think of there. It was surprisingly cold while we were there, so I bought a vintage leather coat for 10 pounds. I thought that was a pretty good deal considering an "I love London" sweatshirt was like 20 pounds. Camden Market used to be a horse stable so there are tons of ginormous statues of horses. They were very detailed!
After the Market, we took the Tube over to the Tower of London. Which is amazing! It was a pretty cold and rainy day, so they weren't running the walking tours there. However, we did get to listen to a guide tell us about the Tower inside the chapel at the Tower. I thought the most interesting story was one where two prince brothers, the sons of King Richard, were thought to be killed at the tower by their uncle who wanted the next reign as king.
There are ravens at the Tower. They were brought there as part of a superstition that if they ever left the tower walls would crumble. These ravens were HUGE! They are very well cared for and fed.
Inside the different towers are a bunch of cool activities and touristy artifacts to see. I loved it!
Also, we saw William H. Macy and Felicity Huffman with their two daughters, at the Tower with their very own tour guide! I was star struck and it was obvious they didn't want to be bothered... so I didn't get a picture.

When we were done with the Tower, we decided to have a good dinner and found a Bavarian restaurant that was actually pretty good.
Our trip was amazing. I am so thankful for my family for watching after Addison and Jack. Thank you Kelly and Tracy!!
