Attempted Christmas Photos
I tried sitting Addie down to take some pictures for the Christmas card... yeah, I didn't get very far. I took several, but could not get her to smile big and just look at me! I ended up using the last photo and adding some others.

Embarrassing Photo and Hangin' Around the House
You have to put up some embarrassing pictures, otherwise we wouldn't be good parents, right?

I wish we could say this was the caldesac in front of our house, but we aren't that ambitious. There is a neighborhood near us that goes "all out" around Christmas and we took Addison to check out the lights... or as she says it "Yights." She loved it, and had a fit when we tried to leave!

Our tree... with a few ornaments. I think we can actually put the ornaments on the tree now because I think Addie understands that they stay on the tree. Unfortunately, I packed them up and just haven't gotten them out again to re-decorate.

Ranger and Shiner love sitting by the tree.

Paul got me a new camera for Christmas and it is great! Here are some shots I took of Addison and Paul playing around the house.

Early Christmas Present
Kelly and Tracy came over last weekend to watch Addison open an early Christmas present from them. First, she received a signing book and dvd... which she loved. Then they gave Addison her own little pink cushy rocker... with its own ottoman. She now says "mine" any time she sits in it or if we ask "Who's chair is this?" she will answer, "mine." She really liked it. Thank you AK and Aunt T!
Here is Addison signing "hat" with the dvd:

"Ahhhh" a perfect fit.

Cold Outing
On Sunday, I took Addison over to the neighborhood club house to see Santa. Unfortunately, she wasn't willing to wait in line and squirmed her way out of my arms to run around and play. Paul was out of town helping my dad get some of the last of their furniture in Dallas... otherwise one of us could have done line duty while the other corralled Addie.
Instead of getting the classic "crying baby with Santa" picture, we rode on a little train and visited with neighbors. I am sure Addison will pitch a fit when we do get her on Santa's lap. I can't wait for that picture! (insert evil laugh) I need to go and get her a Christmas outfit or dress her in elf boots or something to make the "First Picture with Santa" really complete.
Here are some random pictures from our little outing this weekend.

Addison can now sign "red" and "green." Here is a picture of her signing "red" for the red balloon she found at the neighborhood club house.

Thanksgiving
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with the family. Paul's parents, my parents, Kelly, Tracy, Cyndi and Trae all came over to eat Thanksgiving dinner with us. I feel so thankful that our family lives so close and we got to see everyone. We are also thankful that we get to see Paul's brother, David, and my brother, Nick and his wife, Jana very soon! I love the Holidays. The cherry on top of this Thanksgiving was the Texas win... that game made me nervous.
Over the last couple of weeks, Addison has started saying "Nana" (Paul's mom) and "GG" (my mom). She also said "Cyndi" well... "CiCi" for Aunt Cyndi over Thanksgiving! It has been really cool to see her attempt to talk more and more. My favorite word she says is "Please" because it sounds more like "Peas" and she squishes her face into a small smile and signs "please" by rubbing her chest. She is so much fun and I can't wait to see what she thinks of Christmas!
I didn't get very many pictures this Thanksgiving, but here are the few that I did snap.

Paul put up the Christmas tree this morning. Addison LOVED the ornaments. It's a good thing that they were just plastic. She wanted to pick them all up and carry them around. She became very frustrated when she saw one on the tree that wasn't in her hands. I got some video of her "helping" decorate the tree. By the end of the whole experience, Paul and I decided that we may not really have ornaments on the tree for awhile. At least until Addie can understand they are not toys.
