Jack's One Month Doctor Appointment

I've been falling behind on the blog posts!

Jack's one month doctor's appointment went very well. He now weighs 9 pounds 1 ounce and was 20.5 inches long. The doctor said he looked great! He's been sleeping about 2 hours at a time (or goes about 2 hours between feedings). He sleeps one 3 hour stint and then is up every one and a half to two hours after that at night. Now at 6 weeks he is starting to stay awake more often and loves to look at the fan, wall and clock (much like Addison did). He is also starting to smile, and laughs loudly in his sleep. Jack also will coo, or cry in his sleep.

Addison is doing much better with the transition. She does not try to hit or grab Jack anymore and loves to give him kisses and help feed him. Addie also is very protective of Jack. When I take him with me to pick up Addison, many of the toddlers in Addie's class surround his car seat. Addison gets pretty mad and pushes the kids back and tells them "No!" I always tell her that it's ok if they look... but she continues to push the kids away. Addie is also pretty big for her age so when she pushes she can be rough!
